Get to Know Me
I’ve been in private practice for three years, and it’s truly been a privilege to walk alongside so many people on their journey to healing. Being trusted with your most personal challenges is something I hold in the highest regard, and I want you to know that your privacy and comfort are my top priorities. When you step into my office, you can feel confident that your story and your struggles are safe with me.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent years as a paramedic, which taught me so much about being present with others during difficult moments. After leaving that field, I made the decision to fully dedicate myself to counseling, knowing that it was where my heart truly lies. Since 2009, I’ve been in the helping profession, and along the way, I’ve learned many valuable lessons that help me listen with empathy and without judgment.
I’m deeply committed to my ongoing education and professional growth, particularly in trauma, suicide, and emotion-based therapies. This allows me to continually adapt and better support you as you work through your challenges.
I truly believe in your ability to heal, and my role is to guide you in understanding your unique patterns, helping you adapt them in ways that feel authentic and effective for you. Whether you’re facing trauma, chronic pain, or depression, we’ll work together to rebuild your confidence and develop practical skills that you can use every day. I work with youth (12 and older) and adults, and I’m trained in CAMS Care for Suicide, a proven method to reduce suicidal ideation.
Finding the right counselor is such an important step, which is why I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation. This is your chance to get a feel for how we might work together and ensure that you feel comfortable with me and my approach. I want to make sure this is the right fit for you, as the foundation of a successful relationship is built on trust and comfort.
I know it’s not easy to reach out for help, and I’m sorry that you’re facing these challenges right now. But please know that by seeking support, you’ve already taken an important step forward. When you’re ready, I’m here to help you take the next step—just reach out to schedule your free consultation, and we’ll begin this journey together.
