How I Work With You
Therapy that's tailored to you — because there is no one-size-fits-all path to healing.
A Trauma-Informed, Attachment-Based Approach
I work primarily with people who have experienced trauma, using a trauma-informed approach that helps you feel safe, heard, and empowered throughout our work together. Trauma isn't just something that happens to us — it shapes the way we see the world and ourselves. My focus is on recognizing that impact and giving you the tools to heal and grow.
I also work through an attachment lens, exploring how early relationships and childhood experiences shape the way we connect with others and manage life's challenges. Attachment injuries can quietly influence many areas of our lives — feeding fear, anxiety, and depression, and complicating how we process grief and loss. By understanding these patterns, we can begin to heal old wounds and build healthier, more secure connections in the present.
Ways We Can Work Together
Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy
This form of therapy helps you work through past experiences that continue to influence you today — whether they stem from attachment patterns, emotional wounds, or other challenges. The aim is to help you feel secure and grounded within yourself, using the resources you already possess. This isn't about revisiting pain for the sake of it; it's about understanding and healing those experiences so you can move forward with confidence and a clearer sense of self.

Couples therapy with me focuses on understanding the cycle you and your partner are in — how each of you reacts to the other, and how those reactions feel in the moment. Misunderstandings often come from misreading our partner's actions, which leads to unnecessary tension. By understanding each other's perspectives, we unlock new ways of communicating and create space for a deeper bond. EFCT is a clinically proven method.

Our bodies hold onto the feelings from traumatic events — which is why certain sounds, smells, or sensations can trigger the urge to run, hide, or scream, sometimes without us knowing why. Our bodies remember. By exploring how your body responds, we can uncover those deeper connections, process stored emotions, and help you respond to triggers with greater understanding and less fear.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
My Master's degree focused on CBT, and that foundation gives me effective, practical techniques to help you build new coping skills. My practice doesn't follow a rigid CBT format — instead, I adapt these tools to fit your life, so the strategies we explore feel truly relevant and supportive for your situation.
Support Through Life's Transitions
Whether you're navigating a recent move, retirement, becoming a parent (including postpartum care), questioning your sexuality, moving through puberty, or making big decisions about your direction — transitions can be overwhelming. They're also opportunities for growth. Together, we'll build your self-esteem and confidence so you can move forward with clarity, making decisions that align with your true self.
